Teachers

All teachers on the VFX course are visiting professionals coming in directly from studio jobs around the world to teach their specialty.

The reasons for bringing in visiting professionals are threefold. Firstly, this brings a great energy into the class room and it helps us achieve our goal of having the course resemble daily studio life as much as possible. Secondly, it ensures that the teaching is always relevant and completely up to date. And thirdly, it provides the students with a valuable and significant network within the animation business.

What teaching involves for the teacher is taking the students through the subject at hand from A-Z. Normally, the teacher prepares a series of lectures with lots of examples of dos and don'ts and demos for analysis and discussion as well as a number of exercises for the students. Usually, it is lecture time in the morning and lab time in the afternoon with the teacher supervising the students' work.
