Plot
Viola has a teddy bear that, to her, is a big live bear. He is her best friend but all of her frustration is also taken out on him. Viola is growing up with a father that cannot control his drinking and often this results in disappointment and sometimes fear. Viola finds her own way of getting through the difficult times.
The project
The project has been in development since 2006, and the character/story research part has been very interesting for Susanne. She has meet a handful of consultants from different alcohol treatment centres, and they have all been showing her great enthusiasm for their work but also for the rough film that she has presented for them. They are all interested in using the film in the dialogue with children in families with alcohol issues. This is one of the reasons why she kept on going. Somebody needs her film.
The subject is "Alcohol in child families".
The inspiration to the story came from a stay in a family resort, Skallerup Klit Feriecenter, where Susanne was spending a weekend with all of her family and the idea is based on something that happened right in front of her.
