3D Artist - teaching and admission

The 3D Artist course is a 15-week program that takes the students through the components of 3D art from start to finish.

The course starts with an introduction to the Maya software with basic exercises in modeling, texturing, lighting, and rendering. This is followed by concept design during which the students will work with design and layout for 3D, character design, and of course concept ideas for their final project.

The program continues with a 5-week module solely focused on modelling in the shape of environment and character modelling (including rigging for posing), UV mapping and Mudbox sculpting. This will be followed by texturing, shading, lighting, and rendering.

The final two weeks of the course will be reserved for the students to finish their final projects; a rendered still image of a posed character in a 3D setting and background. Each week, the students will be given time to work on their final projects under the supervision of the current teacher. Please see below for a detailed program.
