Prayer in the Night
2D short film
A combination of opera music andanimation using a theatrical style. In an imaginary world, divided in two parts, under the ruling and power of a mysterious shadow, an emotive love story unfolds to the tunes of opera songs.
Prayer in the Night is a love story of a couple, separated by a Lord, who reigns on their imaginary world inspired by Venice. The Lord transformes them into the moon and the sun in this world.
In this project the language of theater and drama in opera song is translated into animation. The look is defined using textile textures to create an atmosphere inspired by Venice and old-fashioned puppet characters.
