Internships
The Animation Workshop feels an obligation and a great willingness to help educate the workforce of tomorrow. This is why we offer various internships to pupils in elementary school, students at vocational education programmes or youth education programmes, and students at higher education institutions.
At present, the entire school year of 2011-12 is completely booked, unfortunately.
Internship for the oldest pupils in elementary school
The Animation Workshop offers pupils from elementary school the possibility of trying life as a student for a week – either at the Character Animation programmes or at the Computer Graphic Artist programme. In special cases we can also arrange an internship at The Drawing Academy. During the week, the intern will receive counselling from a student.
An intern at The Animation Workshop must possess a certain level of maturity and be able to work independently. Furthermore, a certain level of English abilities is needed, since we have students from all over the world and all teaching is in English.
In order to be considered for an internship, please contact Donnely Tuck to find an open week for the internship. Following this, the applicant must send a motivated application to the internship coordinator (see below), and explain who he/she is and why he/she wants to be an intern at The Animation Workshop. Furthermore, the sender school has to mail an internship agreement to The Animation Workshop.
The intern will receive a letter from The Animation Workshop with information about the course of the internship.
Please note that we receive a lot of applications for this type of internship. Often, we are fully booked 6 months ahead. Therefore we recommend sending your application in good time before you want to start your internship.
Please send the application to internship coordinator Donnely Tuck

This is an offer for all who have finished or who are currently on their last year of their vocational education programme or youth education programme. This internship is part of a national transition programme, where it is possible to experience life as a student at The Animation Workshop for 3 days. This transition programme runs every year in week 43 (26th - 28th of October 2011). Registrations begin every year in September. You can read more about the national transition programme here (in Danish only):
Student for three days at The Animation Workshop
If you live in Denmark but don't speak Danish and wish to join the transition programme at The Animation Workshop, you can get help at your local Studievalg centre.
Internship for students at higher education institutions
Many higher education institutions offer their students the possibility of integrating an internship at a company or an institution into their study programme. At The Animation Workshop we have positive experiences with interns from higher education institutions working in our different departments. We offer the interns an opportunity to be part of a dynamic and informal work environment. They will be challenged with suitable tasks that enable them to use their professional competencies and personal qualities.
Send your application to Peter Dyring-Olsen. Please indicate in the application what you wish to work with during the internship period.
