Danish students at the bachelor programme in Computer Graphic Art are entitled to apply for S.U., which is the official state grant for students. Additionally, Danish students do not pay any tuition fee for their education.
Please note that it is only possible to apply for S.U. when you have received the official admission letter from The Animation Workshop in late July. Upon reception of this letter, you can apply for S.U. through “min SU” at www.su.dk.
Please go to www.su.dk for more details on how to apply and for information on current grant and loan amounts, among other things.
Any questions on S.U. should be directed at Tina Rathky Jensen, (Medarbejderprofil)
International students – from inside the EU/ EEA countries.
Tuition fee for international students
According to Danish legislation, students coming from the countries within EU/EEA as well as the Nordic countries are entitled to a free education in Denmark.
State educational support for students from the EU/EEA countries
As a rule, foreign students enrolled in Danish courses of study are not eligible for educational support (S.U). Exceptions are made on the basis of specific conditions for refugees and relatives of refugees and for other foreign citizens provided - among other stipulations - that they have been living and working in Denmark long enough.
Please go to this site for more information.
International students from countries outside the EU/EEA
As of August 2006, students coming from countries outside the EU/EEA, who do not hold a permanent Danish residence permit, will be charged with a tuition fee of DKK 48,387 (€6.452) pr. semester. Thus, the total fee for a student coming from a non-EU/EEA country is currently DKK 96,774 (€12.903) per year. Furthermore, students need to pay the above-mentioned materials fee. This brings the total (including materials fee) to DKK 123,174 (€16,423) per year.
However, as of 2008, students coming from countries outside EU/EEA, who have at least one parent with a work and/or a residence permit, are entitled to a free education in Denmark and therefore do not have to pay tuition fee for studying the bachelor programme in Computer Graphic Artist at The Animation Workshop.
