Bachelor of Arts Department
Two programmes of study
"‘The Animation Workshop radiates professionalism, encourages discipline and personal development, -and- leaves space to be personal as well. What's more to ask?’ "
Lasse Rasmussen
The Bachelor Department at The Animation Workshop offers two programmes of study: Character Animation (CA) and Computer Graphic Artist (CGA). Both programmes provide a high quality professional education, created and taught by expert practitioners gathered from the network of professional animators worldwide. At The Animation Workshop, students prepare to face the challenges and demands of rewarding careers in the television, commercial, film or games industries.
Both programmes lasts 3½ year equivalent to 210 ECTS points. The educations are parts of VIA University College and are accredited by the Danish Ministry of Education.
Skills
Both programmes of study first develop students’ traditional artistic skills as a solid foundation for their life’s work. Studying the theories of drawing and design, our students receive a thorough knowledge of aesthetic sensibility, often lacking in today’s saturated 3D world, giving them a distinct advantage as they advance to the more complex work within the 3D platform.
Experience
Internal and external productions are arranged throughout the programme to give students the real world experience of professional collaboration and completing a finished body of work.
Connections
Internships are arranged for the last semester term with assistance from The Animation Workshop staff and their connections to the extensive industry network around the globe.
